Wellness Advocate or Preferred/Wholesale Customer Accounts
doTerra offer 2 types of account and people can be either one of choice. Both accounts offer the same products at the same prices of 25% less than retail price with the same access to the Loyalty Reward Programme for additional effective discounts of a further 30% over time
A Preferred/Wholesale customer only needs to provide date of birth for security and is not interested in earning commissions
A Wellness Advocate also wishes to earn commissions and therefore needs to provide proofs of ID and obtain a FSSAI certificate to comply with India regulations (see next sections for more information about this)
If someone wishes to change from one type of account to another then simply email [email protected] with your account ID and request this change. All updates to accounts are free of charge
If someone is a Wellness Advocate with a downline then they cannot automatically change to a customer account however please email David Miller at [email protected] for choice of options to complete the required change.
Proofs of ID and address (Wellness Advocates)
Direct Selling Regulations require doTerra to obtain proofs of both ID including photo and also proof of address for all Wellness Advocates. If not provided a time of registration then 15 days are allowed after which the account will be suspended for both orders and commissions until completed
Examples are Adhaar card, PAN Card, Drivers Licence and if for address (if not on any of these) an electricity bill and landline telephone bill
A FSSAI certificate will also be needed, see the next section for details, proofs to be sent to

Preferred/Wholesale customers only need to provide date of birth which is already on the registration form, no other proofs required
FSSAI Registration
doTerra produce Certified Pure Tested Grade Oils and some of these are classed as 'Food Grade' in India. Therefore all Wellness Advocates are required to apply for an FSSAI Certificate for a fee of RS 100 p.a.
Preferred/Wholesale customers do not require this

doTerra India IT fixes
Some common errors and fixes when using the doTerra India Wellness Advocate backoffice. These are early days and we are learning more about how to make systems more efficient and the PDF shows fixes that are available to overcome some of the challenges
The main thing that can help eliminate many problems members are facing is clearing your cache and cookies, or in other words, your browser history. A lot of data will save on your phone or computer from migration or enrolling a new member, and when data is auto-populated from a cookie, this data will cause an enrollment, payment, or even migration to fail even if the address is correct. The reason why is that it will need to be manually added so the system doesn’t think it knows the enrollment is coming from a person.

doTerra set aside 7% of commisionable volume worldwide to share amongst Leaders each month. The first level of Leadership is Premier where an Advocate has 2 separate legs with 2k OV and 5k overall Team volume (see Comp Plan). 1.25% is set aside for Premier (max 1 share) and Gold (max 2 Shares) subject to 1 or 2 personal enrollments in a month
Direct Deposit Form
Authorise doTerra to credit all commissions to your bank account.
Instead of a 'cancelled cheque' for your direct deposit form you can can either use a bank passbook or can just write the account number, branch alpha numeric IFSC code on the DD form and full name as it shows on the account.
